Benny Joiner
Owner

Benny Joiner began his career in the steel industry with a position at Cowart Iron Works in Midville, Georgia in 1973 as an iron worker. He was promoted in 1974 to the main office as an apprentice detailed. He attended Augusta Technical College where he received his degree in the detailing. After three years, he was promoted to sales and estimating. In 1978, he resigned from Cowart Iron Works and formed Joiner & Associates, Inc. where he has since run a successful Steel Fabrication business.

Linda Joiner
Bookkeeper/Senior Office Manager/Owner 

Linda Joiner has worked with Joiner & Associates, Inc. since 1994 as office manager and bookkeeper. Prior to working with Joiner & Associates, she successfully ran her own business and completed a computer programming degree. She then began as the executive secretary to the president of First National Bank for five years. Then accepted a position at Citizens Bank where she implemented the in-house computer system.

Ben Joiner, Jr.

President of Joiner Steel Erection Company

Ben Joiner was interested in construction from the time he could pick up a bolt. Raised in the steel industry, he joined the company in 2007 as a Field Crew Manager for Joiner Steel Erection Company. He simultaneously trained under his father with Joiner & Associates, learning to read fabrication drawings, layout, and fabricate structural and miscellaneous steel. He has since grown into his current positions for both Joiner Steel Erection Company and Joiner & Associates through experience, hard work, and guidance from his father’s almost four decades of industry experience.

Cherie Clark
Office Manager

Cherie Clark founded and ran her own business in commercial and residential flooring at Lake Oconee, Georgia. She has also worked in construction and building supply industry where she managed a major construction and building supply store. She started working with Joiner & Associates in 2011 where she trained under Linda Joiner in office management and bookkeeping.

Alex Broome
Project Manager

Alex Broome started working part time in a family owned structural steel fabrication shop in 1995. He attended Georgia Southern University, where he graduated with a Major in Construction Management and a minor in Business in 2005. After college, he worked with H.G. Reynolds Construction Company as an assistant superintendent. Alex then returned to work with his father at American Metals, Inc. where he acted as a project manager, purchasing manager, quality assurance manager, and management representative in 2006. In April of 2013, Alex began employment with Joiner & Associates, Inc. as a Project Manager.

Fred Lewis
Shop Foreman

Fred Lewis started working with Joiner & Associates in the fabrication shop in 1998. He trained under Benny Joiner learning to read fabrication drawings, layout, and fabricate structural and miscellaneous steel. Fred is a certified welder under the AWSD 1.1 structural welding code. Fred has been acting as the shop foreman and quality insurance inspector since 2002.
